  December 30, 2015 I bought a card at the post office in the Bel Air Mall. I put money in the card and put the card and my granddaughter's Pajama pants in a priority envelope. The two African american women behind the counter looked at me and then looked at each other. A red light should have gone off my my head because no one else was in the post office this day during my lunch hour. Well the priority envelope never left Mobile, Al. The ladies saw me put the money in the card but when I went back to confront them because my package was never sent I was told I shouldn't send money in the mail because it was just too enticing. I told them no one knew there was money in the envelope but you two ladies. I have filed a formal compliant and contacted the post master. THERE IS A THIEF IN THE POST OFFICE AT BEL AIR MALL. DO NOT LET ANYONE SEE WHAT YOU MAIL IT MAY NOT EVER LEAVE THE POST OFFICE LIKE MY PRIORITY ENVELOPE.

  Nothing to complain about here. But these comments are -ridiculous-. "This white lady, this black lady, this african american" etc... Sounds a lot like "i'm not racist but...." C'mon Mobile, you're better than this

  Awful service. I had a PO Box here for some time and finally closed it. TWICE they closed the box without reason and started returning mail (payment was autopay so no I hadn't forgotten to pay my PO Box bill). I had multiple creditors thinking I had run out on my obligations, late payments on credit cards, an ATM card that was completely lost and when I confronted the postal employees all they said was "sorry, wrong box" When I asked about all my late fees they couldn't have cared less. I sent a letter to the PostMaster detailing both incidents and received no reply - he/she probably couldn't read or write anyway. Typical gov't employees, never held responsible for behavior or lack thereof.
